You know Steve, it would be pretty cool to see you take one of your white poly tarps there and a little bit of spray paint and give the tarp a little bit of camouflage. I think the only reason why your white tarp stands out in situations like this is because it's unnatural to see unbroken squares of any color in nature.. If you threw some darker thin lines up and down the site of the tarp like branches and whatnot it would probably be damn near impossible to see the tarp in the winter time. In the summertime if you using your white tarp you probably won't mind being seen. LOL

So sleeping in an adjacent area well hidden from view is an absolute necessity.

You need an under quilt. When you put a sleeping bag in a hammock you are squishing the insulation in the bottom of the bag. With a quilt about the outside of the bottoms of the hammock you stay way warmer.

Steve, I just discovered your channel. For years driving around from Detroit to northern Michigan and living in the metro Detroit area and loving camping I have fantasized about stealth camping. When I drive around which I do quite a bit of I usually see and visualize places that I could camp in secret. I have even put a gear list together. And now I am so glad to have a stealth camping guru to learn from. I am committed to stealth camp this year!!
