A better way of doing this would have been to use a truly opaque material like Mylar. That will improve your insulation and also help with your light discipline. You also need a hooded red flashlight.

You must spend hours thinking up your next thing to do. I will say you are not run of the mill.

Great vid Steve.
You can DIY camo your cheap green tarps with a cheap black spray can.
The cheapest and nastiest mat flat black you can find.
Buy a box of it and have fun spraying at home or even at the camp site.
I did it to a cheap blue 4 man tent and had a blast spraying it.
Also very little light passes through those cheap thermal blankets, which you can easily line the inside and ends of the humpy while you are in it and take it with you to the next humpy that you stop in.
Give it a try lining a tent at home, it will surprise you.

Primitive camping with a chainsaw

Just use a folding saw with a 10” blade like the one I just got, it was only $10 online and I managed to cut threw a foot thick log in 10 minutes. Small logs like the ones he was cutting would take about 2 minutes each. Sure it would take longer but it’s much more quite and stealthy that electric chain saw and it can definitely cut threw super thick logs.

When stealth camping you should get a flashlight with a red light, helps you to see without being nearly as obvious as a full blown regular flashlight.

In the states you could use your bear spray on tweakers. Tweaker b gone spray.

If you are that worried about putting off light why don’t you get red military lenses for your flashlight. There is a reason the military uses red.. one it doesn’t ruin you night vision like using a regular light.. plus it doesn’t travel as much.. it’s a lot harder to spot from a distance.. it’s stealth.. you say your stealth camping but use white lights... USE RED!

Why didn't use a camouflage tarp

I love Steve but he’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer and I mean that in the nicest way possible lol.
